A WALK IN THE PARK
Living in the Tampa Bay area offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. And a walk in the parks offer numerous opportunities to enjoy the fresh air. Take a picnic or host an event at one of the shelters, most can be reserved. Plan a causal walk or jog along one of the trails, even biking or hiking allows you to take in all of the natural beauty. Wildflowers and native animals bring joy to nature lovers and photographers alike.

KEY VISTA NATURE PARK – 2700 Baillies Bluff Rd., Holiday, FL 34691 – Dog Friendly with restrictions – There are 101 acres of gorgeous land to explore from wooded trails to the sandy shore along the gulf (note: no swimming is allowed in this park.) A scenic boardwalk connects the Key Vista Nature Park to the Anclote Gulf Park. Be sure to experience the breathtaking view from the observation tower
This park is noted for its Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Birding Trails.
LETTUCE LAKE CONSERVATION PARK – 6920 East Fletcher Avenue, Tampa, FL 33637 – Dog Friendly with restrictions – The park features wooded picnic areas and playgrounds, a 1.25-mile paved exercise trail and 3,500-foot boardwalk with an observation tower provides scenic views of the Hillsborough River. Park ranger and volunteer-led nature education tours are available on weekends. Canoe and kayaks rentals provide up-close encounters with a variety of aquatic birds and wildlife.
